Sandpiper Bay is Myrtle Beach Golf Course of the Year
Brunswick Isles Golf Trail Member, Sandpiper Bay, is the Myrtle Beach area 2010 Course of the Year. It was chosen by the Myrtle Beach Area Golf Course Owners Association during their July meeting.
Bald Head Island Club – New and Improved
The Bald Head Island Club did something different by taking advantage of the poor economy to revitalize its 18 hole, 35 year old golf course. Golf Course Architect Tim Cate was hired to move the course closer to the original George Cobb design . . . have the course better mesh with the island’s natural environment, simplify routine maintenance, and make operational improvements.
Carolina National Joins the Brunswick Isles Golf Trail
The newest member of the Brunswick Isles Golf Trail is Carolina National Golf Club. Carolina National is a 27-hole Fred Couples signature golf facility set along the Lockwood Folly River. It has been recognized by Golf Digest as one of the finest courses on the eastern seaboard.
Cape Fear National Grand Opening
Cape Fear National, located just outside of Wilmington, N.C., opened its doors to the public on Monday, April 19, 2010. The highly-anticipated 18-hole premium golf club will serve as the centerpiece of the Brunswick Forest master-planned community. Cape Fear National is the newest member of the Brunswick Isles Golf Trail.

Some golfers who visit Myrtle Beach prefer to stay and play in the middle of the action, minutes from the restaurants and nightlife plentiful on the Grand Strand. Others are more interested in hanging close to the state line, spending their days on the golf course, and their evenings relaxing at a condo or enjoying a laid-back meal. The recently formed Brunswick Isles Golf Trail seems to suit the latter group.
